Description:

This course introduces basic modelling techniques in 3ds Max: introduction of the user interface, box modelling from primitives, modelling on sub-object levels, overview of basic modifiers, basic lighting, material and rendering techniques, which will be used to create a presentation at the end of the course.

The main objective of the course is to provide working knowledge useable to proceed to advanced level.

Students are encouraged to work independently after the classes.

The lab has PC-s with Autodesk software and Leonar3Do Stereoscopic Virtual Reality device.

Number of participants: minimum 5 persons, maximum 10 persons

Equipments, tools: Laptop, free version of 3ds Max for students downloadable from Autodesk website (for homework)

Ágnes Előd was born in Budapest, Hungary, in 1974. Currently living and working as a digital sculpture teacher in Budapest. She received her doctoral degree in Art at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts. From 2001 to 2008, she worked as a freelance film editor and digital special effects artist.
Since 2010, she has been working for the HUFA Doctoral School as a researcher. Her research topic is stereoscopic virtual reality systems, and their role in art education.
